美國舉債上限已經瀕臨崩潰邊緣，一旦國會在法案到期前，尚未同意撥款，美國聯邦政府就會陷入關閉窘境。而目前還有一非逛不可 線生機，只要美國國會在下周二前簽署法案，就可免於政府停擺。但如果國會未同意簽屬法案，會發生什麼事？

《CNNMoney》報導，首先，聯邦政府雇員將會被歸類為「必要」或「不必要」。被歸類為必要類群的機構，將會在聯邦政府關閉後，持續運作，而不必要類別的機構將會強制關閉，直到國會通過預算法案後，才得以繼續運作。而持續在運作崗位上的員工，也會持續給薪，但被暫時解雇的聯邦政府員工，可能就沒這麼幸運得已繼續給薪。當然，美國總統與國會一定是被歸類在必要性工作人員。

雖然聯邦政府即將面臨關閉，但一些必要機構，仍可以繼續運作，如有關人民生命財產的機構，好比社會安全及資產機構，此類機構是不需要國會每年審議撥款。

美國行政管理和預算局 (OMB) 助理主任 Charles Konigsberg 表示，必要性機構預算，完全由 OMB 撥款，且完全符合法律程序。過去政府陷入停擺時，基本必要性機關，如飛航管制、交痛控管、交通安全、國家安全、危險廢棄物處理、邊境安全、電力維持及災害管制皆會正常運作狀態。同時，美國強盛的生命線美國債券、貨幣及銀行會被確保如往常般營運。

如果美國政府最後決議遵循 2011 年 政府關閉模式繼續運作，將有 40%政府員工會休無薪價，恐會影響數千名員工的工作權益。人數也可能多或少，一切端看國會最後如何決議。

美國內政部 (DOI) 表示，2011 年美國政府關閉時，有近 76%的員工被迫放無薪假，僅留 9100 名員工進行必要服務，如執法安全等。

美國國防部則會持續運作，因涉及到美國民眾安全，但多數文書人員也將被迫休無薪價，唯獨國防合約管理部門除外。

防範狂犬病擴散，指揮中心今(27)日指出，已核撥2,200劑疫苗給地方公立動物收容所，以加強流浪動物疫苗注射；另外，指揮中心也確診1例染病鼬獾，提醒民眾切勿接觸及捕捉野生動物。
指揮中心指出，動物防疫機關持續加強動物狂犬病案例發生及高風險地的犬貓疫苗注射及衛教宣導工作，已核撥2,200劑動物用狂犬病疫苗給6個縣市動物防疫機關，供轄內公立動物收容所犬貓施打，以提升犬貓狂犬病疫苗免疫覆蓋率。
而昨(26)日檢測的34例動物樣材，指揮中心表示，其中來自台東縣卑南鄉1例鼬獾確診為狂犬病。其餘2例白鼻心及31例犬樣材，檢驗結果均為陰性，總計案例發生地區為9縣市52鄉鎮，感染動物種類多為鼬獾。
指揮中心提醒，民眾務必遵守2不1要原則，不要棄養寵物，不要接觸及捕捉野生動物，要為家中寵物施打狂犬病疫苗，以保障人畜安全。
